Current Manufacturer testing of the WaterGeeks "Pure Blue" filter demonstrates an over 90% reduction (ranging from 91% to 98%) in Chlorine, Lead, Chromium, Cadmium and Mercury. These contaminants may not be present in user’s water. Seeking certification for contaminant reduction is the independent choice of water filtration brands. WaterGeeks is currently completing independent third party testing of its new “Pure Blue” filter that is intended to result in future independent certification claims. However this new “Pure Blue” filter has not yet been tested against, is not certified under and does not claim to meet the reduction requirements for Heavy Metals and Chromium set forth in the current NSF/ANSI Standard 53. Therefore while WaterGeeks is confident that this product effectively reduces the potential contaminants based upon its own test results, this advisory will remain posted until further independent testing and/or certification has been achieved and can be published.

For best results replace filter after 80 gallons or 4 months.

Initial filters were made with a white casing, not blue. For the next short while, you may receive a filter that has either a blue or white filter casing.

According to U.S. Department of Public Health and Human Services, the adverse health effects from nickel are highly dependent on the degree of exposure. Many health experts are now recommending to use stainless steel cookware low in nickel content.

Because of this, we decided to use stainless steel #201 (typically called 18/0) and not stainless steel #304 (typically called 18/8) when is comes to our water bottles in order to have the lowest nickel content possible and still have food grade.
