The Watergeeks Laboratories has joined American Express and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., to become a national supporter of the 2009 Tap Project, the award winning, life-saving initiative that helps UNICEF provide clean water to children around the world.
Beginning November 17, 2008, the Watergeeks will donate a minimum of 20% of the online retail price from the sales of six of our premium water products to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. Designed with an eye to conservation and combating the global water crisis, the featured products include:
1) filtered sport water bottles, 2) stainless steel water bottles, 3) water saving shower head, 4) water saving hose nozzle, 5) dual spray swivel aerator, and 6) an all natural liquid soap.
Clean, safe drinking water is essential to life but nearly 900 million people do not have access to clean water. In fact, the lack of clean water is the second largest killer of children under five. Every day, 4,200 children die of water-related diseases. But together, we can help. Just $1 USD can provide a child with safe drinking water for 40 days. Join the Watergeeks in supporting the UNICEF Tap Project by purchasing one of these water bottles or conservation products or visiting www.tapproject.org

About UNICEF
For more than 60 years, UNICEF has been the world’s leading international children’s organization doing whatever it take to provide lifesaving nutrition, clean water, education, protection and emergency response to children around the world. UNICEF calls for the day when the world can roll back the number of children dying from preventable causes from 26,000 to zero. That’s zero children killed by malaria and measles, poisoned by unclean water, lost for a lack of safe shelter, or fallen prey to malnutrition. As the organization that has saved more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization, UNICEF is committed to doing whatever it takes until zero children die of preventable causes.
